About the Role

The manager coordinates and oversees all accounting, reporting, and internal control activities at Nucor. Duties include managing the general ledger, tax compliance, financial and compliance reporting, account reconciliations, costing files, forecasting support, monthly balancing, inventory management, and timely recording of transactions. The role also leads policy implementation, system improvements, audit supervision, and provides analytical support to other departments while driving continuous cost improvements. • Oversee general ledger, tax, and financial reporting processes. • Manage account reconciliations, costing files, and inventory control. • Support forecasting, monthly closing, and cost improvement initiatives. • Lead implementation of accounting policies and internal control systems. • Supervise internal and external audit activities. • Provide analytical support to cross‑functional teams. • Ensure compliance with safety policies and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related experience, at least three years of accounting experience, and a willingness to relocate for future promotion opportunities. Preferred qualifications are leadership or supervisory experience, manufacturing industry background, and professional credentials such as a CPA or MBA. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. • Possess at least three years of accounting experience. • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory abilities preferred. • Manufacturing experience and CPA/MBA credentials are advantageous.
