About the Role

The primary role is to operate a Front End Loading (FEL) shovel, safely de‑stocking sand from the wash plant and loading HGVs. The operator may also run other certified mobile plant machinery as directed by Site Management and perform maintenance tasks required by the manufacturer and Heidelberg Materials. Additional duties on the main processing plant may be assigned, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficient equipment operation. • Operate a Front End Loader (FEL) to de‑stock sand from the wash plant and load HGVs safely. • Run any other certified mobile plant machinery as directed by Site Management. • Perform routine maintenance on mobile plant equipment per manufacturer and Heidelberg Materials guidelines. • Carry out additional duties on the main processing plant as assigned by Site Management. • Adhere to the company health & safety policy and Quarry Regulations 1999. • Maintain a strong focus on safety and efficient equipment operation.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least GCSE grade 4 in Maths and English and a solid understanding of health and safety and Quarry Regulations 1999. Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant and an NVQ Level 2 in mobile plant operations (post‑EPIC) are required. • Hold GCSE grade 4+ in Maths and English. • Possess EPIC certification and NVQ Level 2 in mobile plant operations.
