About the Role
The Test Engineer supports IFF certification efforts, works with external program offices, and contributes to the preparation of certification documentation and reports. • Perform engineering tasks for IFF certification to ensure air, land, and sea weapon system interoperability. • Travel to government and commercial sites to observe bench, platform, and operational testing and collect performance data. • Analyze technical data, including antenna patterns, EMI/EMC reports, and software documentation, to produce system‑level evaluations. • Coordinate with external program offices to gather test data, develop test plans, and verify design compliance with DoD standards. • Identify and document failures, deviations, or discrepancies in detailed discrepancy reports. • Prepare final certification packages and maintain project status in internal databases. • Manage multiple certification projects simultaneously, ensuring continuous communication with stakeholders. • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lb and accommodate up to 25 % travel throughout the year.

What You Bring
The position requires the ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and may involve up to 25 % travel. Standard working hours apply, and the role reports to a supervisor for additional duties as needed. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) and extensive experience with IFF systems, strong technical writing and data‑analysis abilities, and an active secret clearance. Preferred qualifications add experience with DoD, NATO, or partner‑nation weapon systems, familiarity with DoD technical standards, and excellent communication and project‑management skills. • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) and eight years of IFF system and certification experience. • Demonstrate strong technical writing, data‑analysis, communication, and project‑management skills; maintain an active secret clearance. • Prefer candidates with experience working with DoD, NATO, or partner‑nation weapon systems and familiarity with DoD technical standards.
