About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager supports community accounting, leasing, and personnel supervision, working closely with the Community Director to ensure accurate financial operations, resident satisfaction, and compliance with housing regulations. • Collect and secure rental payments • Scan daily bank deposits and verify accuracy • Assist Community Director with daily rate approvals in Yieldstar • Input daily activity transactions in Yardi and clear outstanding validations • Prepare accounting records and reports, including deposit accounting and monthly close out • Verify accuracy of move-outs for integration with rental collection company • Deliver late rent letters and notices to vacate, and personally contact residents with unpaid rent daily • Handle bad debt collection until no longer applicable • Assist in eviction process following local municipality policies • Enter activity into YARDI for daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, including Skip Watch information if applicable • Assist Community Director with Apartment Ratings responses • Support team in achieving positive SatisFact scores • Assist with leasing duties, including showing apartments and preparing leases via e-signature if applicable • Maintain organized community office files • Maintain working knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management, such as Fair Housing, collections, evictions, towing, and pool enclosures • Prepare accurate and complete reports in a timely manner • Handle or assist in receiving, recording, preparation and follow‑up of work orders for resident service requests • Assist in inspections of vacant apartments and prepare them for market‑ready status • Promote resident retention by assisting with the renewal program • Perform periodic inspection of common areas, including balcony/patio inspections • Report any observed maintenance problems • Assist in planning and preparation of resident functions • Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the operations manual • Adhere to company safety policies and use safety equipment as required • Provide courteous assistance to residents, prospective residents, and co‑workers • Maintain reliable transportation for meetings, supplies, and emergencies

What You Bring
• Be available for overtime, weekend, holiday, and evening work • Be willing to be assigned to other Highmark communities as needed • Travel and overnight stays may be required • High school diploma or equivalent • Excellent mathematical skills (high school level) for pro‑rations, bank deposits, etc. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook and internet • Apartment management experience preferred • Strong proficiency in property management software (preferably Yardi) • Leadership and team‑building skills • Valid driver’s license • Tax credit experience preferred
