About the Role

• Operate a single‑licensed, 2nd Class cogeneration plant (4 MW gas engine, waste‑heat boiler, auxiliary boilers, 13.8 kV distribution, water/fuel/steam systems). • Maintain daily plant logs, perform scheduled rounds, and update procedures and drawings. • Perform plant maintenance, housekeeping, and ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations. • Work safely, complete required training, and wear prescribed personal protective equipment. • Support the Lead Operator, oversee contractors, and assist in training other Plant Operators. • Perform other duties as needed to ensure continuous plant operation, including work at other Vicinity locations and a standard 8‑hour non‑rotating shift. • Read and follow P&IDs, electrical one‑lines, and procedures. • Stand, walk, bend, stoop for extended periods; lift up to 50 lb and move objects over 100 lb; climb ladders. • Work in maintenance environment with exposure to inclement weather, extreme temperatures, high‑pressure steam, rotating equipment, and water‑treatment chemicals.

What You Bring

• Hold a Massachusetts 2nd Class Fireman License. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience with iFix SCADA or similar systems (preferred). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and Maximo experience preferred. • Ability to work independently. • Pass pre‑employment physical exam and drug screening. • Use required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc.) and perform tasks requiring confined‑space entry, scaffolding, and visual inspection.
