About the Role
Responsibilities include preparing metal components, executing welds, performing basic piping installations, and assisting other mechanics or craft workers as needed. • Cut and drill structural metal pieces to size and position for welding. • Ensure welds meet safety and industry standards. • Perform simple piping installations and repairs. • Assist other mechanics or craft workers as needed. • Climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds. • Communicate effectively with management and supervision, make decisions, and stay detail‑oriented under distractions.

What You Bring
The Structural Welder creates frames for large structures and is proficient with arc, gas‑shielded, and gas welding equipment. The welder must produce quality work efficiently and obtain any required certifications. The role requires understanding safety hazards and safe use of tools in plant or construction settings. Physical demands involve lifting, climbing, and working in varied weather and confined spaces, while mental demands include effective communication, decision‑making, and attention to detail. • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally. • Work in adverse weather, uneven terrain, and confined spaces.
