About the Role

The Container Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the container shop, including inventory control, repairs, deliveries and distribution. The role ensures that containers are maintained in good condition, meet customer demand, and reflect the company’s image. • Oversee daily container shop operations, including staffing and scheduling. • Ensure containers are repaired and presented to reflect WM’s brand image. • Maintain container inventory to meet customer demand. • Enforce Mission to Zero standards and safety regulations. • Coordinate with other managers for cost‑effective shop performance. • Assist with budgeting as needed. • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance for shop cleanliness. • Manage personnel actions: hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, performance evaluation. • Contribute to decisions on termination, compensation, and promotions. • Prepare and submit required reports promptly. • Directly supervise 5 full‑time employees and indirectly supervise 15 additional staff.

Benefits

The position is based in an office or landfill/outdoor setting and reports a base salary range of $72,270 – $106,007, with eligibility for a 15 % AIP bonus. Compensation is influenced by experience, education, certifications and location. Employees receive a competitive total compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, a stock purchase plan, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, holidays and personal days. Benefits may vary by site.
