About the Role

The role involves bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars according to customer orders. Candidates must adhere to Nucor’s safety programs, demonstrate conduct aligned with the company’s vision and values, and maintain a clean and safe work area. • Follow Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards. • Conduct work in line with the company’s vision and values. • Unload trailers and store materials in bins. • Operate shearing machine to cut steel bars to length. • Operate bending machine to shape steel bars. • Operate overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material. • Operate Fabmatic machine to cut and bend bars to specified shapes. • Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping. • Keep the shop or designated area clean and safe. • Assist teammates with any of the above tasks.

What You Bring

The position is safety‑sensitive; candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and possess a high school diploma or GED. • Operate power saw to cut bars to length. • Use spray gun for epoxy touch‑up on bars.
