Civil Engineer II - Water Resources
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for utility-scale wind and solar projects.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The engineer will perform large‑scale hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for wind and solar developments, design stormwater drainage systems (including culverts, low‑water road crossings, detention facilities, scour mitigation, etc.), and conduct stormwater quality and erosion mitigation design such as sedimentation basins and BMPs. Additional duties include floodplain modeling, preparing technical reports and exhibits, collaborating with technical staff to create cost‑effective H&H models, assisting with construction document development, conducting field investigations, researching project‑specific stormwater requirements, and helping standardize H&H analysis processes and best practices. The role also involves working closely with project engineers and CAD designers to integrate civil drainage designs within schedule and budget, and responding to client and project needs. • Perform large‑scale hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for wind and solar projects. • Design stormwater drainage systems, including culverts, low‑water road crossings, detention facilities, and scour mitigation. • Conduct stormwater quality and erosion mitigation design (e.g., sedimentation basins, BMPs). • Execute floodplain modeling and prepare technical reports, studies, and design exhibits. • Collaborate with technical staff to produce cost‑effective H&H models and assist in construction document development. • Conduct field investigations and research project‑specific stormwater requirements. • Develop and standardize H&H analysis processes, standards, and best practices. • Work with project engineers and CAD designers to integrate civil drainage designs within schedule and budget. • Respond promptly to client and project needs.
