Senior / Principal Process Engineer (Wastewater)

About the Role
The role involves conducting options investigations, feasibility studies and reporting for a wide range of complex projects, including water, wastewater, recycled water, resource recovery, biosolids and odour treatment facilities, as well as leading the design and delivery of treatment plant projects from concept through detailed design. Additional responsibilities include managing multidisciplinary design teams to ensure constructability and budget compliance, engaging with clients to exceed expectations, building and maintaining client relationships, and mentoring junior engineers. • Conduct options investigations, feasibility studies and reporting for water and wastewater projects. • Lead design and delivery of treatment plant projects from concept to detailed design. • Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure constructability, quality and budget adherence. • Engage with clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. • Mentor junior engineers and share project expertise. • Participate in employee resource groups and mentoring programs. • Utilise mental health and wellbeing resources, including an Employee Assistance Program.

Candidates should hold a tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the water and wastewater industry, with wastewater treatment design and modelling being advantageous. Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to lead and contribute to a vibrant team are essential.
