About the Role
The asphalt paver operator is responsible for operating the paver to lay asphalt to the specified finish surface, performing routine maintenance and inspections on the equipment, collaborating with team members to meet project specifications, adhering to safety protocols at all times, and promptly reporting any equipment issues to supervisors. The role is performed in environments that involve moving mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. • Operate asphalt paver to achieve specified surface finish. • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and inspections. • Coordinate with teammates to ensure project specifications are met. • Follow all safety protocols and promptly report equipment issues. • Work in settings with moving equipment, inclement weather, temperature extremes, humidity, and high noise levels.

What You Bring
Candidates must be proficient in operating an asphalt paver, possess a strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations, be able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have high attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities. Employment is contingent upon a post‑offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, background check, and, where applicable, ongoing FMCSA‑regulated testing. • Demonstrate proficiency in asphalt paver operation and safety regulations. • Communicate effectively and solve problems with attention to detail. • Pass pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol test, background check, and applicable FMCSA testing.
