About the Role

The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. This role ensures safe and efficient operations in designated areas. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated leader with a focus on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage assigned production teams, including supervisors, leads, and skilled trades, to achieve production goals. • Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to fabrication plans, schedules, and quality requirements. • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to align resources with production priorities and deadlines. • Provide active feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. • Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, on‑time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned projects and areas. • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

What You Bring

• Proven leadership skills with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude. • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication, with a strong understanding of throughput and efficiency optimization. • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. • Ability to work in a steel fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment. • Must wear required PPE at all times. • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs as needed.
