About the Role

Project Directors lead delivery across all lifecycle stages for sectors such as aviation, highways, rail, environment and utilities. They manage multiple disciplines, set health‑and‑safety standards, shape business strategy, promote innovation and sustainability, and foster inclusive teamwork and strong client partnerships. Coaching and mentoring of emerging talent, as well as influencing diverse stakeholders, are also key components of the role. • Lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects across all lifecycle stages in public and private sectors. • Manage multiple disciplines, teams, advisors and clients on high‑value, politically sensitive programmes. • Set and enforce health, safety, and wellbeing standards, acting as duty holder with CDM expertise. • Shape business strategy, drive innovation and sustainability, and anticipate future stakeholder needs. • Foster inclusive teamwork and a collaborative "one business" mindset across the organization and with clients. • Build and nurture long‑term client and industry partnerships to improve performance. • Coach, mentor and develop future project managers, creating a pipeline of emerging leaders. • Apply strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to advise and influence diverse audiences. • Oversee complex procurement, NEC and other contract forms, and manage contractors and consultants. • Operate within highly regulated environments and apply sustainability principles to projects. • Maintain NEC accreditation, CSCS, carbon‑literacy or safety qualifications as applicable. • Contribute to a healthy, flexible workplace that promotes work‑life balance and diversity.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a degree in construction, management or a related discipline, professional membership with APM, ICE or a similar body, and project‑management certification such as PRINCE2, MSP or MoP. Beneficial experience includes managing complex procurement, NEC contracts, contractors and consultants in regulated environments, and a knowledge of sustainability and carbon‑literacy. Additional qualifications such as CSCS, NEC accreditation, safety or soft‑skill certifications are advantageous. • Hold a degree in construction, management or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Possess professional membership (APM, ICE) and project‑management certification (PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, etc.).
