About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift and complying with all company, state, and federal regulations while operating the truck. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and report any safety issues on standard reports. They follow the route sheet and map, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at the designated facility, and interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. Throughout the shift, drivers monitor waste for unacceptable materials, tag unsatisfactory containers, clean accidental spills according to safety policies, and keep the vehicle clean and operationally ready by removing waste from the packer blade and truck body. Required documentation such as route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other reports are completed daily to maintain productivity standards and support the company’s ReSOP program.

Minimum qualifications include a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
