About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhere to all state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. Before each shift the driver performs a thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspection, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls. While on route the driver follows the route sheet, operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load and compact refuse, and disposes of the material at the designated facility. The driver also monitors waste for prohibited items, tags unsuitable containers, cleans up spills, and keeps the truck clean to minimize downtime. Customer interaction is a core responsibility; the driver greets clients, dispatchers and coworkers professionally and ensures all assignments are completed on time. Reporting duties include completing route productivity sheets, VCRs and other required documentation while maintaining productivity standards. Participation in the company’s ReSOP safety program and other job‑related tasks are also expected.

What You Bring
The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement, as well as strong customer‑service, time‑management and follow‑through skills. Candidates must demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, adherence to safety policies and a pride in their work.
