About the Role
Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate welding methods, setting up and aligning components, and performing welds in multiple positions such as vertical, horizontal, and overhead. The welder will also use angle grinders to prepare parts, clamp pieces securely, and ensure all equipment remains in safe, working condition. • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. • Determine appropriate welding equipment and method. • Set up components for welding according to specifications. • Weld components using MIG, TIG, or other arc welding techniques. • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. • Align and clamp components using tape measures and other tools. • Perform welds in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. • Maintain welding equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Build strong interpersonal relationships with team members. • Make decisions and solve problems analytically. • Sit or stand for up to 95 % of work hours. • Work in environments with varying temperatures, dust, and chemical fumes.
