About the Role
The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end‑to‑end fiber optic networks, ensuring the work is done right, and meeting the challenges of outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity. • Operate OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and other test equipment to resolve common fiber issues. • Prepare splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, and Corning. • Apply fiber design knowledge, read documentation, and assess light levels and dB loss. • Perform work at outdoor utility construction sites. • Prioritize safety in daily tasks.

What You Bring
Successful candidates prioritize safety, have a proven record of high‑quality workmanship, enjoy hands‑on problem solving, and seek long‑term projects with flexible shifts and occasional overtime. • Use fusion splicer and related test gear (1310/1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945). • 3–5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience. • Comfortable working on ladders or bucket trucks. • Strong problem‑solving, hands‑on approach, and high‑quality workmanship. • Relevant MOS codes (V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699).
