About the Role
In this senior leadership role you will guide multidisciplinary environmental teams across Ontario and beyond, shaping complex assessment, remediation, risk and client‑strategy programs while driving market growth. • Provide strategic technical leadership for environmental site assessment, remediation and risk assessment programs, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. • Lead multidisciplinary project teams delivering complex environmental projects influencing community planning, land development, infrastructure and sustainability. • Mentor and develop talent across the environmental business to strengthen succession planning and technical excellence. • Advise executive leadership, strategic partners and major clients on environmental risk, regulatory frameworks and emerging contaminants. • Champion innovation by advancing new methodologies, standards and best practices in environmental engineering and geoscience. • Increase WSP’s visibility through participation in industry associations, conferences and technical committees. • Drive business growth by leading pursuit strategy, proposal oversight, pipeline forecasting and seller‑doer activities. • Expand service offerings through cross‑sector collaboration across geographies and business lines. • Support risk management on major pursuits and programs, including contract review, fee structures, commercial strategy and delivery oversight.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor's or graduate degree in geo‑environmental or environmental engineering, registration as a P.Geo. or P.Eng. (Qualified Person), 15–20+ years of progressive experience, deep technical expertise in contaminated sites and emerging contaminants, a reputation as a senior technical authority, a proven seller‑doer record, collaborative entrepreneurial mindset and a valid driver’s licence. • Hold a bachelor’s or graduate degree in geo‑environmental science, environmental science or environmental engineering. • Be a registered P.Geo. or P.Eng. in Ontario and a Qualified Person (QP) under O.Reg. 153/04. • Possess 15–20+ years of progressive experience in environmental engineering or geoscience with senior oversight of major multidisciplinary projects in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. • Demonstrate advanced expertise in site assessment, contaminated sites, remediation, risk assessment, excess soils and emerging contaminants. • Recognized as a senior technical authority and reviewer on complex project files. • Proven seller‑doer track record building long‑term client relationships and delivering business growth. • Highly collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to influence strategy across teams and markets. • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
