About the Role

The PM directs project supervision, maintains proper quality control, meets project schedules, and efficiently utilizes resources while communicating status to management and clients. Additional duties include developing project specifications, implementing practices to achieve defined objectives, maintaining knowledge of utility policies and procedures, and understanding basic line construction, the National Electric Safety Code, and associated hazards. The PM must also safeguard confidential and proprietary information. • Ensure quality workmanship and on‑time delivery for assigned projects. • Advocate and uphold Pike Engineering’s Core Values and business ethics. • Supervise project workflow, maintain quality control, and meet schedules. • Utilize resources efficiently and communicate status to management and clients. • Develop project specifications to satisfy client and management objectives. • Maintain knowledge of utility policies, line construction, NEC, and equipment hazards. • Protect confidential and proprietary information. • Provide leadership, motivation, and vision to team members. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

What You Bring
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for assuring quality workmanship and on‑time delivery for all assigned projects. While the PM oversees efficient utilization of Pike Engineering resources to enhance return on investment, they do not have hiring or termination authority, which remains with the AM/DM/RVP. The PM must be familiar with the Pike Engineering Employee Handbook and complete tasks within quality and client‑acceptable time frames. Key qualifications include excellent organizational and planning abilities, effective verbal and written communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills, and proven leadership and management capabilities. The candidate should possess high energy, thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments, and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving goals and building customer relationships. Required education is a two‑year degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, coupled with at least two years of relevant communications or distribution experience. Desired personal attributes include self‑motivation, independence, teamwork, customer orientation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while leading team members. • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, communication, negotiation, and decision‑making skills. • Thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment with high energy. • Hold at least a two‑year degree in Engineering Technology or related field with 2+ years relevant experience. • Be self‑motivated, work independently, and be team‑ and customer‑oriented. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead team members.
