About the Role

The Foreman leads and coaches crew members, conducting pre‑job and tailgate briefings to convey safety plans. Responsibilities include overseeing new construction, maintenance, and repair activities, training lower‑skilled employees in hot‑stick work, and ensuring all work follows company safety rules. The position also requires planning and supervising troubleshooting of primary and secondary systems while maintaining rigorous physical standards. • Lead and coach crew members in safe, productive line work. • Conduct pre‑job and tailgate briefings to communicate hazards and plans. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair on energized and de‑energized transmission lines. • Train lower‑skilled employees on hot‑stick techniques and safety procedures. • String overhead wire, set poles and anchors, and install transformers, arresters, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot and supervise troubleshooting of primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses, and clear faulted circuits. • Identify primary and secondary voltage, induced voltage, and correctly sag and phase circuits. • Plan and execute reconductoring, mechanical jumper installation, and load‑bust operations safely. • Operate and maintain PPE, flag/tag procedures, and equipment safely at heights or confined spaces. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at diverse sites. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Follow company safety rules, reporting procedures, and complete required paperwork. • Work outside frequently, including inclement weather, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
