About the Role

• Lead and manage the construction materials testing (CMT) department, including field services and lab operations. • Supervise and mentor project managers, field technicians, and junior engineers. • Develop and maintain client relationships through regular interaction, jobsite visits, and proposal preparation. • Oversee department budgeting, resource planning, utilization, and P&L performance. • Conduct technical reviews of reports, proposals, and project documentation. • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with testing standards and company protocols. • Represent ECS at local industry events, conferences, and client meetings. • Support cross‑departmental collaboration and assist in training programs.

What You Bring

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction materials testing, geotechnical services, or a related discipline. • Demonstrated success in team leadership and department‑level management. • Experience in client development, proposal writing, and project scoping. • Strong knowledge of applicable testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, etc.). • Familiarity with regional market trends and clients in West Texas. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed. • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (preferred but not required). • Proven success in business development and expanding service offerings. • Prior experience managing departmental P&L and driving revenue growth.
