About the Role

The technologist will support production by performing functional and final tests on assembled electronics, interpreting schematics and test procedures, and operating both automated and manual test equipment. They will diagnose component‑level failures, document results, ensure compliance with safety and electrostatic discharge protocols, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives in testing and manufacturing. • Perform functional and final testing of assembled electronic products. • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures to verify functionality. • Operate automated and manual test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers. • Troubleshoot and diagnose failures to the component level and document findings. • Maintain accurate test records, logs, and documentation in compliance with quality standards. • Ensure adherence to safety and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols. • Support continuous‑improvement initiatives in testing and manufacturing processes. • Choose appropriate tools for medium‑complexity product quality control. • Lead E‑Versatility transitions and champion 5S activities.

Schneider Electric is hiring an Electrical Quality Test Technologist for the 2nd shift at its Fairfield, Ohio facility. The role requires a detail‑oriented professional with experience testing low‑ and medium‑voltage electronic products and the ability to work closely with engineering teams. The role reports to the Quality Supervisor and requires an associate degree in electronics or a related field (or equivalent experience), at least two years of manufacturing or electronics testing experience, and familiarity with industrial automation products. Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and quality‑improvement tools is essential, as are strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and fluency in English. • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing or electronics testing environment. • Familiarity with industrial automation products and systems. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and quality‑improvement skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and test procedures. • Fluency in English (read, write, speak).
