About the Role
The Sr. Project Manager collaborates with design teams to address RFIs, submittals, and construction issues, supervises observation and inspection of work—including material sampling, testing, and measurement—and communicates non‑conforming work to contractors while reviewing contractor compliance with contract documents. Responsibilities include managing change and field orders, updating schedules, handling submittals, claims, pay requests, construction meetings, and closeout processes; defining tasks for others, providing supervision and approval, and preparing final report recommendations. The role requires evaluating project decisions for design soundness, schedule impact, budget, and overall needs, maintaining schedules, informing Group or Project Managers of activities, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, reading plans and specifications, and staying current on regulations; it may also serve as Project Manager on large, complex projects. The role functions as a Construction Manager overseeing transportation infrastructure projects, supervising inspectors and construction managers, and coordinating work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality. Required qualifications are 8+ years of construction and design experience, a B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field, Oklahoma Professional Engineer registration, proficiency with project management information systems, knowledge of alternate delivery methods, and MS Office skills; preferred qualifications include ODOT/OTA Resident Engineer experience and Certified Construction Manager certification. • Minimum 8 years construction/design experience, B.S. Civil Engineering, Oklahoma PE license. • Proficient in project management information systems (e.g., FNI Manager, Site Manager, AWP) and MS Office. • Knowledge of alternate project delivery methods; preferred ODOT/OTA Resident Engineer experience and Certified Construction Manager certification.
