About the Role
• Deliver end‑to‑end project services: requirement gathering, preliminary and full design, construction, site reviews, commissioning, and troubleshooting. • Design low and medium voltage power distribution, motor control, lighting, instrumentation, emergency power, fire alarm, security, and communications systems. • Prepare construction cost estimates, technical specifications, drawings, contract documents, and technical reports. • Conduct testing, verification, and performance assessments of electrical systems. • Perform site investigations, create deficiency reports, and determine existing conditions for renovation projects. • Manage construction administration tasks, including shop‑drawing reviews, RFI responses, and change‑order issuance. • Review safe work practices, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Canadian Electrical Code and related standards. • Coordinate with utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors, and clients throughout project life cycles. • Peer‑review designs to confirm adherence to CSA, UL, NFPA, National Building Code, and other regulatory requirements. • Support business development by researching client needs, preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and traveling to other Dillon offices as needed. • Commit to continuous self‑development and mentor junior staff through coaching, training recommendations, and career guidance. • Participate in professional associations and committees to enhance Dillon’s corporate profile. • Develop project specifications for material and equipment procurement and ensure constructability and code compliance. • Lead multidisciplinary teams, maintain complete project documentation, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

As a thought leader, trusted advisor, and problem solver who enjoys entrepreneurship and innovation, you will excel in Dillon's fast‑paced, agile environment, leveraging excellent communication skills and business acumen. • Hold a degree in electrical engineering and be licensed (or eligible within six months) to practice as a professional engineer. • Bring at least five years of experience designing low/medium voltage systems, performing load analyses, voltage‑drop calculations, equipment sizing, and protective‑relay coordination. • Demonstrate proficiency with SCADA, overhead/underground design, motor‑control, lighting calculations, and communication/security system design. • Leverage strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to guide technical teams.
