Daily tasks include operating machinery, thorough cleaning such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and maintaining trolley bays free of leaves and debris, while adhering to health and safety procedures. Full training is provided. What you need: previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential, as on‑the‑job training is supplied; an eye for detail and cleanliness; a positive attitude to cleaning and customer service; and a smartphone with NFC capability to use the Arcus Connect App for time and attendance, which is a condition of employment.

Arcus is recruiting a part‑time In‑Store Cleaner for the Sainsbury’s Whitstable store on a fixed‑term basis until March 2026, offering 20 hours per week at £12.21 per hour, with an immediate start available. Sainsbury’s stores operate 7 days a week; Arcus provides flexible shift patterns including 5‑ and 6‑day weeks and shifts in the early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening, with weekend work. The current schedule for this role is: Sunday 08:00‑12:30, Monday 06:00‑09:00, Tuesday 06:00‑09:00, Wednesday day off, Thursday 06:00‑09:00, Friday 06:00‑09:00, Saturday 14:30‑18:00, with potential overtime to increase hours.
