About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineer I will design, develop, and evaluate integrated systems that manage industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality and inventory control, logistics, cost analysis, and production coordination. This role is based onsite at the Memphis facility and does not include relocation assistance. The position provides manufacturing engineering support across all products and processes, assisting with workflow design, design for manufacturability, process changes, and capacity analysis. It offers direct support to production personnel on assembly, fit, and process improvement issues, and maintains standard operating procedures, work instructions, process flow maps, and quality documentation. Working in project teams, the engineer helps design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated production systems, as well as layout equipment, materials, and workspaces for maximum efficiency. Responsibilities also include evaluating designs for cost savings, providing technical support and training for new equipment, coordinating with other departments and customers, and proactively seeking learning opportunities. • Provide manufacturing engineering support for all products and processes, including workflow design and capacity analysis. • Assist with design for manufacturability, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Support production personnel with assembly, fit, and process improvement issues. • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flow maps, and quality control documentation. • Participate in project teams to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated production systems. • Layout equipment, materials, and workspaces to maximize efficiency. • Evaluate designs and processes for cost savings and performance improvements. • Offer technical support and initial training for newly acquired equipment. • Coordinate with other departments and customers to ensure seamless operations. • Prepare cost evaluations for processes and equipment expenditures. • Identify learning opportunities and pursue professional development proactively. • Work in both office and production floor environments, adhering to PPE and safety‑sensitive policies.

What You Bring
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required, with internships focused on manufacturing considered advantageous. Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Edge) and organizational tools such as Gantt charts is expected. Key competencies include effective written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving, decision‑making, and multitasking in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. The role combines office‑based analytical work with hands‑on interaction on the production floor, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lb, sit or stand for most of the shift, and work in environments with noise, temperature changes, dust, and chemical fumes while using personal protective equipment. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; manufacturing internships preferred. • Basic proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Edge) and organizational tools such as Gantt charts. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills. • Exhibit high attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb and remain seated or standing for most of the workday.

Work Environment
Onsite
