About the Role

Engineers will regularly use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-control deliverables for clients. Responsibilities include horizontal and vertical alignment design, grading and drainage, streetscape and roadway improvements, multimodal projects such as multi-use trails and complete streets, and the creation of signage, striping, and signalization plans. The role requires solving complex problems, supporting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to realize client visions. • Use technical software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables. • Perform civil engineering tasks such as alignment design, grading, drainage, streetscape, multimodal design, signage, striping, and signalization. • Solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines. • Learn industry-specific tools including VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, GIS, Excel, and MicroStation.

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join the Roadway team at its Atlanta Midtown, Georgia office. This position is onsite and not remote. Applicants must hold an ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's engineering degree by Summer 2026 in civil or environmental engineering, mechanical, biosystems, agricultural engineering, or engineering technology. • Hold an ABET-accredited B.S. or M.S. in civil, environmental, mechanical, biosystems, agricultural engineering, or engineering technology by Summer 2026.
