Senior VDC Specialist, Mission Critical

About the Role

In this role you will provide routine BIM administration and coordination, delivering models and documents that align with VDC/BIM leadership and project teams. You will assemble 3D content, incorporate design updates, analyze construction documents for errors, maintain clear project documentation, support the RFI process, and manage self‑perform model layout. Additionally, you will offer BIM technical support, conduct an efficient VDC process independently, communicate constraints promptly, and train project teams on BIM tools. • Provide models and documents necessary to complete scope as determined with VDC/BIM leadership and project teams. • Assemble 3D content modeled by others and create any missing content. • Learn and maintain a productive and efficient BIM process. • Create and maintain clear project documentation, including meeting agendas, minutes, and constraint logs. • Support operations with the RFI process for BIM‑related items. • Maintain working relationships with subcontractors and project teams. • Learn and apply VDC processes and standards to assigned projects. • Read and comprehend construction documents and project BIM requirements, applying them to VDC processes. • Incorporate design updates into project models. • Analyze construction documents and models for errors or omissions and correct them. • Support self‑perform model management and layout (Self Perform VDC Focused). • Provide BIM technical support to internal project teams. • Independently conduct and maintain an efficient VDC process. • Communicate VDC‑related project constraints to supervisors and teams promptly. • Provide training to project teams on BIM tool utilization. • Align owner requirements, BIM execution plans, and front‑end scopes of work to meet minimum project requirements. • Perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. • Solve complex problems quickly and effectively. • Lead project teams through VDC processes. • Set up project‑specific VDC technology to support delivery strategy (intermediate). • Apply BIM technologies and JE Dunn VDC/BIM processes and standards. • Build relationships and collaborate within internal and external teams.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field (or equivalent experience), at least two years of construction experience and two years of BIM experience. Required skills include accurate and timely work performance, strong verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Office, the ability to solve complex problems, and leadership of project teams through VDC processes. Candidates must be proficient with a range of BIM technologies such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam, and understand Lean processes and JE Dunn’s VDC/BIM standards. The work environment may involve travel, non‑traditional hours, and exposure to extreme temperatures, with physical requirements such as lifting up to 25 lb and frequent computer use. A valid unrestricted driver’s license is required.
