About the Role
• Support transit authorities and consultants in reviewing and assessing system assurance documentation from car‑builders, design‑build contractors, and major suppliers. • Assist car‑builders and design‑build contractors in delivering RAMS documentation and managing hazard mitigation and close‑out. • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives for RAMS services. • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing RAMS team. • Ensure all work products satisfy stated and implicit technical requirements. • Conduct audits of transit system supplier RAMS programs. • Manage multiple independent assignments and travel across North America and internationally as required. • Develop RAMS plans, models, and analyses to support client projects. • Recommend mitigation strategies, negotiate hazard resolutions, and oversee maintainability analyses and demonstrations. • Market RAMS engineering as a value‑added capability to clients and stakeholders. • Produce and present technical papers at agencies, peer groups, or professional conferences.

What You Bring
We are currently seeking a System Safety and RAM Director to join our team in Canada. The role provides expertise in system assurance and reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) for transit projects, and involves leading a dedicated team while supporting business development initiatives. Travel across North America and internationally is required. • Hold a university degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related) and a P.Eng licence with 15+ years of rail/transit experience. • Demonstrate senior‑level expertise in all RAMS disciplines and application of CENELEC 50126/50128/50129 and MIL‑STD‑882 throughout project lifecycles. • Experience acting as an Independent Safety Assessor and familiarity with transit standards such as FTA, APTA, NFPA 130, and AREMA. • Possess strong analytical, verbal, written, and computer skills (MS Office, Word, Visio, Excel, RAM modelling tools).
