About the Role

Key responsibilities include preparing mechanical drawings and models using Revit and AutoCAD, developing equipment layouts, piping and ductwork drawings, schedules, and details that meet project requirements, and performing basic engineering calculations to support equipment selections. You will also coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil teams, assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site documentation, and provide construction‑phase support, including system layouts and coordinated documentation for central plant and district energy projects.

What You Bring

The Mechanical Designer / Junior Mechanical Engineer role within our Property & Buildings team supports planning, design, and delivery of building mechanical systems and energy infrastructure projects. You will gain hands‑on experience with HVAC systems, central plants, and district energy infrastructure while being mentored by senior engineers. Candidates should hold a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma from an accredited institution and have 1–3 years of consulting or mechanical design experience, including co‑ops or internships. Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD is required, and BIM coordination knowledge is an asset. A foundational understanding of HVAC systems, building services, and relevant codes, along with strong attention to detail, organization, and a willingness to learn, is essential.
