About the Role

In this role you will contribute to development projects across multiple sectors, supporting technical capability growth and engaging with clients and stakeholders. You will help deliver tasks that meet budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements. • Develop concept studies, design packages, and support planning applications and construction issues. • Produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, calculations and construction drawings. • Engage with clients, stakeholders and design teams to secure technical approvals and statutory agreements. • Ensure deliverables meet budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements. • Apply design codes such as Water UK Guidance, DMRB, Manual for Streets, and produce contract documentation.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a relevant academic background, be progressing toward chartership or have equivalent experience, and possess knowledge of the development industry. The role requires an appreciation of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics and building structures, as well as an understanding of construction design stages. • Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategy, flood risk assessment, utility design and planning. • Understanding of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, building structures and construction design stages. • Proficiency in InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and PDS software. • Strong written and verbal communication, with awareness of climate change and sustainability guidance. • Experience liaising with authorities and managing legal and contractual aspects of development projects. • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience; working towards or holding chartership.
