About the Role
Essential duties include assessing system architecture and hardware limitations, gathering business and product functional and performance requirements, and administering Linux systems and Windows servers with their supporting applications and processes. You will define and design system specifications, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility on both platforms, as well as design, plan, and implement new and legacy technology that supports mission goals. Additional responsibilities involve analyzing system logs, identifying potential issues, managing day-to-day network operations, installing government-provided patches, configuring new systems, performing security management, optimizing application performance, and conducting regular hardware maintenance. • Maintain Linux and Windows servers, applications, desktops, and hardware. • Administer VMware environments and perform system architecture assessments. • Install government-provided patches and configure new systems and platforms. • Analyze system logs, identify issues, and optimize application performance. • Perform regular hardware maintenance and network operations management. • Partner with stakeholders to report project status and deliver solutions. • Work for a company with 80+ years in defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure delivering innovative solutions.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a versatile System Administrator to tackle new challenges across the full stack as we continue to push security forward. In this role you will maintain operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, desktops, software, and hardware, optimize networks for mission/project requirements, and implement faster, smarter processes for meaningful insights and solutions. You will also ensure reliable operations and maintenance of network infrastructure and partner with internal stakeholders to communicate project status, activities, and achievements. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), typically 3+ years of experience, and at least 5 years as a System Administrator. Candidates must have experience administering VMware, Linux, and Windows server environments, and possess an active Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance. Desired qualifications are DoD 8570 IAT II compliance, with Security+ certification preferred. • Hold 5+ years of System Administrator experience with active TS/SCI polygraph clearance. • DoD 8570 IAT II compliant; Security+ certification preferred.
