About the Role
The Senior Sales Trainer for the DMV area develops, coaches, and enables sales performance across the Closets and Garages businesses. Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, the trainer ensures new hires are fully onboarded, delivers ongoing field coaching, and provides targeted support to underperforming representatives to meet KPI expectations. • Own and execute the new‑hire sales training program (classroom, virtual, and in‑field). • Deliver training on sales process, product knowledge, design fundamentals, objection handling, closing techniques, systems usage, and paperwork standards. • Coordinate training logistics, including accommodations, meals, documentation, sales kits, and samples. • Track onboarding progress, manage system access, and set up software for new hires. • Conduct skill‑gap analyses, develop training materials, and evaluate training effectiveness. • Lead ongoing sales, design, and process training to improve close rates, average ticket size, and design accuracy. • Provide paperwork training and quality control, spot‑checking designs and job documentation for compliance. • Support field designers by addressing design questions, technical errors, and product specifications. • Identify Design Consultants needing additional support and deliver targeted coaching and improvement plans. • Perform ride‑alongs, shadowing, and follow‑up coaching to reinforce standards and expectations. • Maintain a strong field presence to model best practices during real customer interactions. • Assist with sales‑related projects such as playbooks, SOPs, scripts, presentations, and job‑flow improvements. • Support rollout of new products, pricing, programs, and sales initiatives. • Partner with Operations to align training with installation and service expectations. • Track key performance indicators: territory net sales, net close percentage, average ticket, net sales per lead issue, service rate caused by sales team, and training quality metrics (time‑to‑first sale, 60‑day KPI attainment, 180‑day retention).
