About the Role

As an Assembler III you will report to the Fire Protection Products Supervisor while performing team‑leader responsibilities. You will assemble hand‑portable fire extinguishers, including Red Line and PAIU Submarine models, by following blueprints, gluing nameplates, attaching parts, and testing pressure. The role may rotate to other departments based on skill set and production needs. You will verify that all parts are available from work order specifications, glue and position nameplates, and inspect shells for fabrication defects, keeping records of processed and rejected units. Using air wrenches, riveters, grinders and pin‑stamping equipment, you will assemble components, perform pressure tests at 240 psi, conduct leak detection with soap solution, and apply final seals and labels before packaging. Routine maintenance includes minor upkeep of the gluing apparatus, vacuum lines, filters and hand tools, as well as operating overhead hoists and forklifts when needed. At the end of each shift you will change dry‑chemical fill tanks, safely dispose of contaminated agents, record leakers and rejects, and set up auto‑labeling machines for final product labeling. All Environmental, Health and Safety obligations must be followed, including attending safety training, reporting accidents, using lock‑out tags after six months, and managing hazardous chemicals and waste according to company procedures. Employees are expected to act as safety coaches and participate actively in the safety process.
