About the Role
Working on the transit and rail team means contributing to cutting‑edge, sustainable transportation projects across North America, from planning and design through construction and operations, emphasizing safety, quality and technological advancement to improve urban mobility. The role involves maintaining and repairing traction power systems for rail and transit projects, especially AC and DC distribution for 750 V DC, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient transportation solutions. • Design auxiliary power and switchgear systems; support traction power system analysis and simulations; conduct site investigations. • Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, power distribution, and energy efficiency evaluations. • Create detailed design layouts and technical drawings using engineering software. • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system compatibility and integration. • Lead field surveys, site assessments, and assist in preparing reports, technical documents, and specifications.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET‑accredited program. • Minimum 10 years of experience in transit & rail or related electrical engineering tasks. • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation or equivalent modeling software. • Experience with traction power systems, electrical distribution, railway electrification, and power system efficiency. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Detail‑oriented and motivated to work in a collaborative engineering environment. • Experience with Bentley Rail Track or similar engineering software.
