About the Role
The Community Manager oversees all operations of an on‑site housing community under the Regional Manager’s supervision. Responsibilities include managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration and risk, while ensuring compliance with Asset policies, safety standards and fair‑housing guidelines. • Lead on‑site personnel: recruit, train, coach, schedule, address performance issues, and enforce company policies. • Manage financial performance: develop budgets, monitor rent collections, reconcile vendor invoices, and maximize net operating income. • Oversee leasing operations: implement marketing plans, acquire residents, handle complaints, and run retention programs. • Supervise maintenance and emergency response: ensure timely repairs, conduct inspections, manage vendors, and lead the property emergency team. • Ensure compliance with safety, fair housing, and OSHA regulations.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree or four years of housing‑industry experience is preferred. Certifications such as Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) are advantageous, as are basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. The role demands regular on‑site attendance, the ability to work overtime, weekends and nights for emergencies, and occasional physical tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 25 lb, and operating machinery or vehicles. Reliable transportation is required to fulfill on‑call emergency responsibilities.
