About the Role
The Senior Firmware Engineer will join our Electronics Team to design next‑generation IoT firmware platforms and implement architecture across product lines. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, communicating with product managers, software groups, and IT, and ensuring high‑quality, reusable code. The engineer reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and will guide software engineering contractors while working closely with embedded engineers on daily tasks. • Own firmware delivery for new IoT projects and platforms. • Lead day‑to‑day direction of junior firmware engineers. • Design and develop firmware for new and existing products while shaping future architecture. • Influence engineering processes and best practices. • Create scalable firmware architecture enabling feature reuse across product lines. • Develop data models to gain insights on customer usage and installation environments. • Participate in consumer research and conceptual workshops to define solutions. • Collaborate with Quality & Customer Service to diagnose field failures and define corrective actions. • Support project scoping and work‑plan development. • Mentor robust firmware design practices. • Developed embedded IoT solutions for AWS and Microsoft Azure.

What You Bring
• BSEE/CE/CS/ET degree or equivalent. • 5+ years of engineering design and product development experience. • Expertise in embedded firmware design, development and testing (C/C++). • Mastery of motor control loops and algorithms. • Experience with Wi‑Fi, BLE, and Thread wireless technologies. • Strong knowledge of I²C, USB, UART, and SPI interfaces. • Worked with RTOS such as FreeRTOS and Zephyr. • Familiar with Azure DevOps and Agile project management. • Knowledge of electronic schematics, PCBA design, debugging and verification.
