About the Role
Your Impact: Under general supervision, the technician will perform routine soil sampling and laboratory testing, calibrate equipment, test soil, concrete and asphalt to ensure compliance with specifications, prepare daily testing reports, review plans and drawings, analyze data for accuracy, interact with client representatives on site, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct, and handle additional duties as required.

What You Bring
This Opportunity: WSP is growing and has openings for an Assistant Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to conduct field and laboratory testing for construction projects in El Paso, TX. • High School Diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record per company MVR policy • Minimum 3 years of geotechnical testing experience • Proficiency in preparing reports and documentation • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • Ability to work flexible hours, including outside normal business times • Successful background check required • Preferred: Current TxDOT Level 1A and 1B certifications • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and work in extreme outdoor conditions • Must pass a physical examination for medical clearance • Must maintain a clean driving record and be insurable for company vehicles
