About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material‑handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout facilities. The role also involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, the technician mentors junior staff to help them grow in their positions. Daily tasks include following safety procedures, completing preventive‑maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems in belts, motors, sensors, relays, and other MHE components. The technician maintains positive relationships across the operations facility, tracks inventory, and may travel up to 20 % of the time. Shifts can last up to 12 hours, requiring the ability to lift up to 49 lb and stand or walk for extended periods. • Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and document procedures. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in belts, motors, sensors, relays, and pneumatic systems. • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Mentor and coach junior technicians to develop their skills. • Follow safety procedures and promote a safe work environment. • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track inventory and work orders. • Ensure compliance with OEM and safety standards for material handling equipment. • Lift and move parts up to 49 lb; stand, walk, and work shifts up to 12 hours; travel up to 20 % as required.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent and have at least two years of experience repairing material‑handling equipment and performing predictive and preventive maintenance. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical technology, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and schematic reading, and familiarity with CMMS and robotic equipment. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The position demands repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and walking, as well as lifting parts averaging 20 lb and occasionally up to 49 lb. Work conditions may involve confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long periods, as well as occasional heights and maneuvering bulky equipment. Dexterity in eye‑hand coordination and the ability to operate foot pedals are essential. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in mechanical/electrical field preferred. • Minimum 2 years experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting preventive maintenance. • Experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint/electrical schematic reading, and robotic/electromechanical maintenance. • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
