About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, while mentoring junior technicians to help them grow in their roles. You will promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment—including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays—will be a core duty, as will maintaining positive working relationships across the facility and tracking department inventory. • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document them accurately. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment. • Maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility. • Track and manage department inventory effectively. • Mentor junior technicians to support their development. • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Apply knowledge of MHE safety standards and OEM guidelines.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least two years of experience with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment repair. Additional requirements include two years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience, one year of metal and wood fabrication, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Preferred candidates possess an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, apprenticeship experience, and knowledge of MHE safety standards and OEM guidelines. Experience with project management, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), robotic operation, and basic input/output troubleshooting is also valued. The role requires the ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and frequently lift up to 50 lb of equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment. Employees must also be able to crouch or bend regularly, move between departments and floors, work in fluctuating temperatures, and spend 1–2 hours per day typing on a computer. • Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lb, working at heights, and wearing required PPE. • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and apply project management skills.
