About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds. Commercial drivers handle pick‑up services on congested routes, residential drivers collect household waste, and roll‑off drivers load and move large open‑top containers, all requiring skilled backing maneuvers. Key duties include operating vehicles in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT regulations, and all applicable laws; performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections with DVIR documentation; reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, and service interruptions; attending required training and briefings; communicating customer requests; keeping dump sites clean; following assigned routes; completing end‑of‑day paperwork; and assisting fellow drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments in compliance with safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Communicate customer requests and ensure dump sites are clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist other drivers as needed. • Perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, and handling.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent recent military driving experience, be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work, and hold a Class A or Class B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role demands physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • Hold a valid Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement and at least one year of relevant driving experience. • Preferred qualification: high school diploma or GED.
