About the Role
• Collaborate with culinary and F&B leaders to set exemplary standards and drive continuous improvement. • Lead by example in the Pastry department and anticipate business needs. • Supervise daily procurement of specific pastry ingredients. • Maintain continual product quality control and daily procedures. • Minimize spoilage, waste, and over‑production through consistent processes. • Complete and record cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and opening/closing checklists each day. • Create and implement new menu ideas with the Executive Chef. • Organize kitchen and preparations efficiently to handle daily restaurant covers. • Monitor inventory levels with regular checks. • Maintain all equipment and ensure proper handling by culinary staff. • Ensure pastry quality and consistent adherence to standard recipes. • Check food for taste, temperature, and visual appeal. • Ensure uniform dishes and correct portion sizes per Executive Chef specifications. • Prevent use of contaminated products at any preparation stage. • Comply with all government, safety, health, and security standards. • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required. • Meet physical demands: work indoors/outdoors in all weather, stand, walk, move for >8 hours, and lift/carry items up to 50 + pounds.

What You Bring
• Culinary degree and pedigree preferred. • Proven experience and expertise in pastry and desserts. • 4–5 years experience in large world‑class resort, hotel, or club environments. • Experience sourcing local ingredients and creating seasonal menu items. • Maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication skills. • Work effectively in a team environment. • Stay calm and focused during busy periods. • Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours with a flexible schedule. • Proficient in English; additional languages preferred.
