About the Role
Key duties include providing subject‑matter expertise in eMobility, accurately diagnosing faults, and performing repairs in line with standards, MSAs, and SLAs. The technician follows detailed repair manuals and service bulletins, documents all work orders, parts, and warranty information, and closes the service loop with customers. Communication with the customer’s network services provider ensures equipment returns to normal operation, and the technician conducts OEM testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance evaluations on Level 2 and DC fast chargers. • Ensure site safety. • Perform electrical system maintenance and repairs. • Prepare site field reports. • Fulfill contractual duties to operate and maintain the site. • Diagnose and resolve EV charger issues according to eMobility standards, MSAs, and SLAs. • Follow repair manuals, service bulletins, and complete client handovers after service. • Document work orders, parts, and warranty records; provide closed‑loop customer service. • Communicate with network service providers to confirm completion and normal operation. • Conduct OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on Level 2 and DC fast chargers. • Perform insulation (megger), thermal imaging, torque, and performance testing. • Identify ground faults and isolate system performance issues. • Coordinate with eMobility Service team to meet maintenance schedules and optimize routes. • Conduct site safety assessments, complete JHA, LOTO, and OSHA‑required documentation. • Generate professional service reports via the work order system.

What You Bring
ABM seeks a Dedicated EV Technician to support a single strategic customer across multiple sites in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision, adapting to varied field conditions while ensuring high charger uptime and utilization. The technician will act as the primary point of contact for on‑site electrical maintenance and service delivery. The position demands at least two years of experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial or utility environments, or equivalent formal training, along with strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a solid understanding of OSHA safety practices—including LOTO, Arc Flash, and JHA/JSA—are required. Familiarity with Salesforce and advanced knowledge of EV charger technology are preferred. Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of AC/DC conversions, meters, scopes, and circuit boards, and have worked with charging stations from manufacturers such as ABB, ChargePoint, Siemens, and others. They demonstrate a self‑starting, results‑oriented attitude, excellent customer‑service communication, and a passion for emerging eMobility technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safe, quality work further distinguish the successful applicant. • Be available for planned/unplanned overtime and emergency response. • Minimum 2 years experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial/utility settings or formal electrical training. • Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills; EV charger knowledge a plus. • High School diploma or GED; valid state driver’s license. • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, including LOTO, Arc Flash, JHA/JSA. • Salesforce experience is a plus. • Understanding of AC/DC conversions, meters, scopes, and circuit boards. • Experience with charging stations from ABB, Alpitronic, ChargePoint, Delta, Helio, Siemens. • Ability to independently analyze and resolve problems with results orientation. • Excellent customer service communication coupled with technical aptitude. • Can‑do attitude, self‑starter, works with minimal supervision. • Demonstrates safe work practices and quality focus. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong problem‑solving skills. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. • Up to 25 % travel across North America, primarily within the Los Angeles metro area.
