About the Role
In this position you will work independently in a fast‑paced environment supporting a high‑priority, evolving program. You will gather requirements, communicate solutions, and stay actively engaged with the Program Office throughout the project lifecycle. Travel throughout the United States to mission partner sites and conferences is required, with occasional overseas trips based on mission needs. You may represent the Program Office in inter‑agency groups and deliver executive briefings, as well as respond to ad‑hoc requests and develop response strategies. • Independently support a fast‑paced, high‑priority cryptographic program. • Gather requirements, propose solutions, and maintain communication with the Program Office. • Travel domestically to mission partner sites and conferences; occasional overseas travel as needed. • Represent the Program Office in inter‑agency working groups and deliver executive briefings. • Lead development of response strategies for ad‑hoc needs.

What You Bring
The role demands advanced knowledge of COMSEC processes, cybersecurity issues, network architecture, and the Risk Management Framework. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or IT‑related field (or equivalent experience) and at least ten years of experience as a COMSEC Engineer, cryptographic SME, or network engineer, including five years of direct cryptographic network work on IC or DoD systems. Proficiency with TCP/IP, Cisco IOS routing and switching, and experience with cryptographic custodianship tools such as CARDS or iApp is desired. Preferred qualifications include an advanced STEM degree, three years of experience on the program’s cryptographic network, and active participation in IC and DoD cryptographic technology working groups. Knowledge of cloud cryptographic integration, industry testing tools, and technical project management is also valued. An active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph is required. • Apply advanced knowledge of COMSEC processes, cybersecurity, network architecture, and RMF. • Hold a Bachelor’s in STEM/IT (or 15 years experience) and 10+ years as a COMSEC Engineer or similar. • Minimum five years experience with IC/DoD cryptographic networks and TCP/IP systems. • Proficient with Cisco IOS routing and switching. • Ability to obtain overseas travel medical clearance and maintain an active Top Secret SCI with polygraph. • Desired: advanced STEM degree, 3 years on program’s cryptographic network, participation in IC/DoD crypto working groups, knowledge of cloud cryptographic integration, and technical project management experience.
