About the Role
The Tower Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the erection of towers, including checking tension base bolts, grouting, stacking and bolting turbines, aligning generators in the nacelle, and torqueing rotors. This role ensures quality and accuracy throughout the installation process. The supervisor promotes and complies with all company safety policies, ensures crew members work skillfully and efficiently, and makes certain that assigned work progresses on schedule. They interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders, recommend improvements to production methods and equipment performance, and manage material routing and work area layout. Additionally, they handle personnel actions such as promotions or disciplinary measures, train new workers, maintain time and production records, and coordinate with the site superintendent or foreman. Daily responsibilities include pre‑planning activities, monitoring tasks, completing project and equipment reports, and overseeing tooling maintenance and site materials. • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures. • Lead crew to execute tasks efficiently and with skill. • Keep projects on schedule and monitor progress. • Translate specs, blueprints, and job orders into work assignments. • Suggest enhancements to production methods and equipment efficiency. • Oversee material and equipment routing and layout of work zones. • Handle personnel decisions, including promotions and disciplinary actions. • Provide training and orientation for new hires. • Record time, production data, and equipment maintenance. • Liaise with site superintendent or foreman to coordinate activities. • Plan daily tasks and track their completion. • Submit daily project, equipment, and material transfer reports. • Supervise tooling maintenance, storage, and material availability. • Travel to various job sites on short notice.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED with one to three months of related experience or equivalent training. Required abilities include reading blueprints, strong communication and management skills, the capacity to work under pressure and meet timelines, and proficiency in basic mathematics such as fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages. A commitment to personal and team health and safety, aligned with Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles, is essential. • High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 months related experience or comparable training. • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints. • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. • Skillful at working under pressure and meeting deadlines. • Proficient in basic arithmetic, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
