Job Highlights
About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with lift attachments to collect waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb. They navigate high‑traffic streets, alleys, driveways and lot areas, and must perform precise backing maneuvers. Roles include residential collection, roll‑off services and transport to disposal or recycling facilities. • Operate vehicle in compliance with WM safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete driver vehicle inspection reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to management. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings as directed. • Communicate customer requests and service needs to dispatch or operations. • Dump receptacles and ensure the site is left clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out. • Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer service goals.

What You Bring
The job requires a Class A or B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement, at least one year of commercial driving experience (or equivalent military service) within the past seven years, and the ability to meet physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting and crouching. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. • Required: Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement, 1 year commercial or equivalent military driving experience (last 7 years), age 18+, legal work eligibility. • Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
