About the Role
The Outside Sales Representative for Trench Safety will grow profitable business in an assigned territory, execute sales plans, maintain customer relationships, and support Sunbelt’s national branding. • Develop and execute territory sales plans to grow existing accounts and acquire new customers. • Prospect and solicit business via phone calls, cold visits, and scheduled meetings. • Prepare proposals and bid packages by reviewing blueprints, consulting engineers, and adhering to safety standards. • Provide application solutions and promote Sunbelt’s customer safety training. • Coordinate project specifications with internal operations to meet timelines. • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities in the territory. • Maintain daily CRM updates of sales calls and job site details. • Set and achieve annual territory sales targets and KPIs in partnership with management. • Educate local Sunbelt representatives on Trench Safety products and conduct joint sales calls. • Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve delinquent accounts and keep accurate customer records. • Work with other OSRs to build relationships and highlight Sunbelt’s comprehensive solutions.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in equipment rental/shoring plus 2+ years direct sales experience. • Proven solution‑selling track record with strong project‑management and new‑business development skills. • Technical ability to interpret engineering documents and present information to engineers and project managers. • Strong problem‑solving, organization, and multitasking capabilities. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance. • Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. • Self‑starter with strong work ethic, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment; prior equipment‑rental or construction experience preferred.
