About the Role
The role involves maintaining and operating machinery, including conventional, special‑purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) equipment such such as grinders, drills, and presses. Key responsibilities include operating assigned machines—resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses—as well as saws, drills, and grinders. The incumbent must consistently meet production requirements, keep the work area clean and safe, pack finished materials into dunnage, and handle loading and unloading. They also check that finished workpieces conform to specifications, complete required documentation, and monitor machine operation to detect and resolve malfunctions. The employee selects correct processes based on prescribed rules or past practice and seeks supervisor guidance for non‑routine issues, with deviations cleared by the supervisor. Work is performed under close supervision, allowing limited independent judgment and detailed review by senior staff. • Operate resistance welding, brake presses, mechanical power presses, saws, drills, and grinders. • Meet production targets while maintaining a clean and safe work area. • Pack finished materials, load and unload shipments, and ensure workpieces meet specifications. • Complete process monitoring and production ticket documentation accurately. • Start, observe, and troubleshoot machine operations to resolve malfunctions. • Follow prescribed processes and seek supervisor guidance for non‑routine issues. • Work safely in environments with temperature extremes, noise, moving machinery, and fumes. • Perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting 50+ lb items. • Apply basic math skills and adhere to safety operating procedures and equipment.

What You Bring
The work environment is generally comfortable but includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The role requires intermittent periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting or maneuvering heavy (50+ lb) or awkward materials. No travel is required. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with 0–2 years of related experience; 1–3 years of experience is advantageous. Candidates must be able to read and follow safety operating procedures, use basic math skills, and operate safety features and equipment. • Possess a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
