About the Role

The Assembly Technician will execute order‑related work packages, carry out assembly and repair of GIS units, and conduct routine testing according to detailed work instructions, drawings, and bill of materials. The role emphasizes quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery while ensuring all work is self‑verified and documented. The employee is expected to maintain equipment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with colleagues across assembly, testing, and logistics. Adherence to Hitachi Energy’s safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping standards is required, as is active participation in the company’s Lean culture. • Execute order‑related work packages based on production data and foreman instructions. • Assemble and repair GIS units following work instructions, drawings, BOM and checklists. • Conduct routine testing of assembled GIS units and components according to guidelines. • Self‑verify work results, complete required checklists and protocols, and report outcomes. • Gather product‑improvement feedback from local service center engineers. • Maintain and calibrate factory equipment and tools regularly. • Collaborate with internal teams such as assembly, testing, and logistics. • Follow safety, quality, environmental and housekeeping standards and report any irregularities. • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean culture by sharing ideas and observations.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a diploma in electrical engineering, have 1–2 years of production experience, be proficient in English, and be capable of interpreting technical drawings and material lists. Understanding of Lean principles and the ability to minimize the seven wastes are also essential.
