About the Role

• Provide expert environmental and sustainability advice, coaching, and implement improvement initiatives. • Champion the Net Zero Pathway and SFMI journey across the business. • Maintain and monitor compliance obligations, documentation, and processes per ISO 14001:2015. • Manage and improve waste and energy compliance, including ESOS and SECR reporting. • Support environmental audits and investigations across all operations. • Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, regulators, and clients to enhance sustainability performance. • Deliver campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness material to embed sustainability into daily operations. • Track, analyse, and report environmental performance, identifying improvement opportunities. • Contribute to sustainability reporting and business continuity development.

What You Bring

What We're Looking For – The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards relevant qualifications such as IEMA Practitioner membership, NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental/Sustainability Diploma, and a science or environment‑related degree. They should have hands‑on experience in sustainability reporting, carbon accounting or energy efficiency, a solid understanding of UK environmental regulations, familiarity with ISO 14001:2015 and circular‑economy principles, and knowledge of GRI reporting frameworks. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational, project coordination and advanced Excel skills are also required. • IEMA Practitioner Member (or higher). • NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental/Sustainability Diploma. • Science or environment‑related degree. • Hands‑on experience in sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, or energy efficiency. • Solid understanding of UK environmental regulations. • Familiarity with ISO 14001:2015, waste/water compliance, and circular economy principles. • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI. • Graduate applicants considered based on academic experience. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities. • Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities. • Strong time management and project coordination skills. • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
